Country Pub Wembworthy, Chulmleigh
Bob and Kate look forward to welcoming you to this very special country pub in Wembworthy, near Chulmleigh. Set in the most beautiful countryside deep in mid-Devon we have plenty of space outside for people to enjoy, outdoor seating, a large car park and a sunny bar/dining area. Our characterful country pub can seat up to 50 guests for special events and can also be hired exclusively. We welcome children with well-behaved parents, dogs – as long as their owners are on leads and horses (but unfortunately, they will have to stay outside!). We have a comprehensive menu and a constantly changing specials board, also snacks, sandwiches and summertime salads. We use locally sourced ingredients in our homecooked dishes.
Our Sunday lunch includes a selection of 3 plated locally sourced meats, seasonal vegetables, gravy and Yorkshire puddings. Finish off your meal with a delicious homemade dessert.
Devonshire Real Ale and Cider
We have Devonshire real ale and local cider on draught, of the highest quality, making it a tasty companion to meals.
Come and enjoy some of the lovely walks in the local area with the most amazing views of both Dartmoor and Exmoor. The Tarka Trail is also only a couple of miles away. Stop off for a bite to eat for lunch or an evening meal.
The local train station at Eggesford (2 miles) is on the Tarka line which links with Barnstaple and Exeter allowing easy access to London by train.
Although we are in the middle of nowhere, we are in the middle of everywhere! We are within easy reach of both the north and south coast, Dartmoor and Exmoor and Tiverton and Exeter with links to the A30 and M5.

Been to this pub / restaurant for 11 years; always had a warm welcome, good food and great service. I wish the new owners unlimited success and I will certainly continue to visit there. The new owners continue with the same standards as the old owners. Please visit; you will not be disappointed.Martyn Benneworth7/25/2020
